Motorcycle Repair: 1985 GL1200L Coolant leak, coolant leak, gl1200

Chris, My GL1200 is seeping coolant from what appears to be a Freeze plug. It's under the lower left front corner of the engine. It's approx. 24mm in diameter. I can't find any info on this part. None of the online Fiche show it. Don't want to put stop leak in the bike. Any ideas?

You may find quite a few things that are not on the fiches.  You really need the repair manual, which will have a bit more info as well as a few pics of some of the areas.

Without seeing the area of the bike, it is hard for me to visualise the section that you are talking about.  Try the stopleak in the bike.  It won't hurt to try.  And use the "Bar's Leaks" type with the dissolving pellets in it.
