Motorcycle Repair: rear break caliper, 2001 suzuki tl1000r, caliper pistons

Question
Hello Mr. Wells,

I have a 2001 suzuki tl1000r superbike. The problem is my rear break caliper pistons will not close in on the rotor. I have tried bleeding them, I removed and replaced the fluid, and I took the caliper apart to check the seals. But nothing seems to have worked. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Answer
I dont usually answer questions on bike other than harleys, but I might be able to help you.
When you said you bled the brakes, did you have fluid come out? If you didnt then you might not hanve bled them long enough. The fluid has to travel through a small hole in the master cylinder. The other problem is your master cylinder might be bad.
Your other problem could be that that luck in the brake caliber is sticking
Happy New Year
Mike
