Motorcycle Repair: Revs, battery connection, electrical component

riding my cbr900rrw the past two days i noticed a drop in the revs especially in second gear its as though the bike is gonna cut out and i have no idea why. This has happened about four times in last two days.

I cannot accurately diagnose the problem from the description provided.

The problem may be caused by water shorting, defective electrical component, loose battery connection, lugging the engine, something minor, or something major.
