Motorcycle Repair: Starting, 883 harley, spark plug wire

Question
I just bought a 1998 883 Harley. I've rode it a couple of times but now it doesn't want to start. It turns over but won't start. What could be the cause of this? Could it be flooded w/ gas or is it somethong different? There's gas and the oil is fine. I'm new to motorcycles so I kind of lost. Please help.

Answer
Couple of things to check for me. First, remove a spark plug and attach the spark plug wire to it. Hold the plug to the head and turn the bike over. Are you getting a spark? Second, remove the air cleaner so you can see down the throat of the carb. Crank the throttle open. Are you getting gas?
