Motorcycle Repair: 96 cbr600f3 fuel pump & fuel pump relay, honda cbr 600, fuel pump relay

Question
1996 Honda CBR 600 f3

My CBR will not run. I figured out that the fuel pump had broken. I bought a new fuel pump for her, but she still refuses to cooperate. I checked the fuse but that wasnt it, Is there a relay switch I need to find. I have the repair manual distributed by Clymer, and in it it says something about a fuel pump relay. But it doesnt tell you where to find it. I checked the wiring diagram and it is on the diagram, I thought about using it like a road map, and follow the wires to the relay, but if you can help me save some time, It would be most gratifying.
One last question, My CBR was recently stolen from a friends house I was storing it at. I recovered the Bike but not before the theif had made alterations to the frame and body components. When the theif stole it, It had no gas tank, no fuel pump, no battery, plastics, or seat. The theif put on a gravity fed tank, removed the air box and I beleive he tampered with her carburators. Is there a check list or inspection guide I need to follow to make sure that she's in proper running order? Thank you for your help and taking the time to put this two wheled pilot back behind the cockpit.

Answer
Hi Steve,

The most efficient way to test and diagnose the electrical system is by using the wiring diagram and tracing wires to each component.

Follow the troubleshooting procedures for testing the components.

I recommend the actual factor service manuals. Other brands lack clarity and seem to be less thorough compared to the Honda manual.

There's no checklist. You'll have to go through the vehicle and correct the modifications. It helps to be familar with the MC and all it's parts.
