Motorcycle Repair: erratic engine under load, engine light on, fuel starvation, harley dealer

Question
a 2002 FLHPI 10,000 miles, civilian owner, dropped it on a bad piece of road and it landed hard and inverted.. since then it won't respond to increased throttle, pull under load, run at cruise RPM without bucking, missing and the engine warning light coming on. I totally drained all the fuel and replaced with fresh 91 octane, replaced the fuel filter and fuel regulator and still no change. Pulled the plugs and they are clean and maybe lean.. I suspected fuel starvation that's why I changed the fuel filter and fuel regulator in case some crud got into the system after the big bang. I live 400 miles from the nearest Harley dealer, so if I could sort this out myself, it would be good. I recently installed a KN filter and the stock mufflers have been opened up somewhat and that could account for the lean plugs... it's the missing, cutting out, engine light on and no power that bothers me... your comments please... thanks. Fred

Answer
Your right, the lean condition is from installing the filter and opening up the exhaust. Your CPU needs remapped to get the bike back to running like it should be.
As to the missing problem. The only thing you can do is go to the harley dealer and have them do a read the CPU to see what the problem is. There are so many sensers on your bike that you would be changing parts without knowing if that is the problem and would be a bigger expence.
Good luck and happy riding
