Motorcycle Repair: Monoshock Absorber Leaking, pilot jet, air screw

Question
My monoshock absorber is leaking. so what should i do? my motorcycle is yamaha 125z. I am from Malaysia. and the other question is, how can i set the carburetor. i mean setting the main jet and the pilot jet. thanks.

Answer
Huzaifah,Most of the time when a shock leaks,It has bad seals or a scrached shaft. If all it needs is new seals go to a shop and have them reseal and refill with fluid, they will also refill the nito/cyl.with gas.If it has a bent shaft it most likly would be cheaper to find good used shock or get a new one.On jetting a carb.?Read the spark plug!! if it's white or grey? You need a larger main jet. If it's black or sootie? You need a smaller main jet. If it's hard to start ? You need a larger pilot jet.If you have to open the air screw out more than 3 turns ? You need a smaller pilot jet. Hope this helps,Try me again.Glen
