Motorcycle Repair: Indicator Problem, piaggio zip 50cc, water intrusion

Hello Chris, I was wondering if you point me in the right direction on this problem.

I have a 2003 Piaggio Zip 50cc, the problem is the indicators only actually work when its raining. Not too bad as I live in Britain :) but all in all a bit dangerous, not too mention illegal.  Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance,

Hi Alan.
 What you have is a short in the electrical system which is affected somehow by additional water intrusion, which is somehow completing the circuit when it rains and water gets in there.  Check the circuit with a meter and repair the short.  It could also be a bad connection or fuse connection.
