Motorcycle Repair: fuel pump, tight connections, 954rr

Question
I have an 02 954rr.  when i put the key in and try to start it, the engine turns but it doesnt start. Normally, i would hear the fuel injection when i turn the ignition, but i dont hear it now. And it wont start. I checked all the fuses under the seat. Are there anymore fuse locations on the bike? Any ideas? Any help would be great, thanks.

Answer
Hi J-F,

Honda uses fuel cut-off relays. These relays allow current to flow to the fuel pump for a second to pressurize the fuel system. That's the clicking you hear with ignition on. Test the relay for proper operation.

If you don't have the Repair Manual for your MC, buy it. It will pay for itself with the first repair. Average price of repair manual is about $20. Honda is best, clymer is good. I recomend avoiding other brand manuals.

There's no other fuses. Check wiring multi-connectors for clean, tight connections. Basically, you'll need to have the manual to diagnose the problem.
