Motorcycle Repair: Honda c50 crankshaft bearings play, crankshaft bearings, honda c50

Question
Dear Falcon
I'm writing to you once more, for my motorcycle Honda c50. I want to ask you if it't allowed to exist play when I pull and push the rotor (generator flywheel) up-down, and if it is, then what's the limit of the play. The rotor is firmly screwed on the crankshaf, there's no problem with that.
Let's take first things first. I'm holding the rotor. I pull and push it up and down. It has some play , very small , let's say 2/10 of mm, but exists. I'm trying pull and push in and out. Nothing.
Should this play (up-down) exist? If yes, what's the limit?
Note that I recently replaced the crankshaft bearings with new ones. In the beginning, there was NO PLAY, but after 30 kilometers the play appeared.
A second question. How can i check if the oil pump works properly, and oil is going up to the cylinder-head?
Once more, thank you for your help.

Answer
Hi Panagiotis.
There shouldn't be any play at all.  Something is wearing the bearings pretty quickly if there is play right away.

The repair manual has the exact specs, which I don't have.

As far as the oil pump, it is mechanical, so unless the seals are shot and the mechanical components are shot then it should be working.  Oil pumps are not really known for failing.

Good luck.
