Motorcycle Repair: Fuel System Problem, suzuki gs500e, shively

Question
I am having a problem with my '94 Suzuki GS500E.  The bike will start and idle okay, but if you try and rev the engine, it dies.  It sounds like it is starving for fuel.  I removed the carburetors and cleaned them thoroughly.  I have cleaned the fuel filter and air filter.  This has not repaired my problem.  I still can not turn the throttle without the engine stalling.  Please help.

Answer
Hi Troy,

Starving for fuel: Does the engine take throttle with choke?

IS the air filter clean and in good condition?

Also, compare your carburetor cleaning work to the following carb cleaning information. If there's something you read that was not performed, clean the carbs again more thoroughly.
