Motorcycle Repair: excess oil, loose guide, oil tanks

I went to start the trumpet today now many hours later with a sore knee i am still trying to figure out what has happened. This was the 1st start this year and in a matter of 4 or 5 seconds it blew a third of the oil tanks oil out of the left exhaust pipe,no smoke just straight clean oil,watcha think? Thanks Duane

OK, now. Your problem is a new one on me. Did you fill up the cylinders with oil before you parked it?  Did someone else do it for you? With or without your knowlege?

A stuck valve in a loose guide might cause your problem, but check the easy stuff first.

The first start of the year is quite likely to have begun in what we call a wet-sump condition. All of the oil has drained slowly from the tank into the crankcase. Drain it, and you might see what I mean.

Put fresh oil into the tank, install clean spark plugs, and crank her up again. It might be ok.
