Motorcycle Repair: Short reoccuring electricity drops while driving, short moment, temperture

Hi there,

I'm the happy owner of a Sportster 1200C, 1999, low milage of 5000 miles. While driving it suffers short reoccuring electricity drops. Starts with the speedo indicator going on zero a few seconds later the engine dies for a short moment (1 sec) then it's back to normal. This happens once or twice a minute and only when engine is at normal working temperture. Drops happens at any rpm's,r speed or gear.
It's stored away 7-8 months a year. Is only taken out for the occational spin during summer.
Where do I start my trouble shooting?

I would start by checking the wiring at the battery, then follow the hot wires and test and check each wire. The problem is its going ot be hard to find a short if its not shorted when you start looking. Check the circiut breakers also. You will just have to keep following the power till you find it.
