Motorcycle Repair: what do you think, motorcycle mechanic, local bike shop

how are you i'm 33 years old and a home depot manager...been in the construction feild for 14+ years...i have always had dirtbikes,mini bikes, trikes,jetskis all my life...i love motorcycles,jet skis,cars, ect...i went to a tech school at nite for auto repair,loved it was 2nd in the class,but had to quit early ...now it is time to go back but i want to specialize in some thing..so i picked this feild motorcycle mechanic i take the class at nite and on saturdays i work for free at the local bike shop just to pick up what ever i can...i am 150% deditcated,, so my question is is this a rewarding career,i'm just looking for some insight from a pro  thanks   jeff

I think its a rewarding career. I do enjoy working on Harleys.  You sound like you are really interested. That is a plus for you. At the bikes get more tech you will have ot keep up. I read all the time when the shop is closed to keep current. It will be a great career for you as long as you keep to it and not get discougaged.
