Nissan Repair: 98 maxima ecm, model type, jeremiah

I'm working on my brothers maxima built in 03/98 with power seats but not sure of trim level.  It not badged or listed on title.  can't afford new ecm right now and trying to find out if the id# on ecm has to match or is it compatible with others.   I've called dealerships but they just wanna sell me new one and say they don't know anything bout id#s.  The ecm id# is A18 k53 E8U.   Is it compatible with any other id#?

The ID's do not have to match, however the ECM you are putting in has to come from the exact same vehicle, meaning model type (XE, LE, etc), engine size, transmission (manual or automatic), and year.
