Nissan Repair: 1995 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 tranny issue, nissan pathfinder, gears

I have reverse, 1 & 2 gears, but no drive gear. It went out while I was driving. Would it be safe to assume that the transmission will need to be replaced or rebuilt? Thanks for your time!

Hi Wendy -

Yes, the band probably snapped for your drive gear.
Have the transmission overhauled and you should be good to go.
I don't know where you are at, but a cost of $1500 - $2000 should be the going rate. Maybe closer to the 2K since you have a 4x4
