Nissan Repair: po300, clogged catalytic converter, oxygen sensor

Question
random misfire code came up on the computer what can thatt be. when and if it turns over it run roough then stall when you give it gas

Answer
Hi, code P0300 means that the ECU, (the computer), has detected that one or more cylinders are not firing properly. (Misfire) One or more of the following components could be faulty: Spark plugs, plug wires, coil pack, oxygen sensor,, camshaft position sensor, a fuel injector, a burned exhaust valve, a clogged catalytic converter, EGR valve stuck closed or dirty and clogged EGR passages and last but not least, a defective computer. I would start inspecting the plug wires first, then run a balance test on the fuel injectors and also do a compression test. Also inspect the spark plugs for any oil-carbon fouling. If these check out normal then I would run the other tests that are more difficult and take a bit more time. Good luck with the testing.
