QUESTION: I need to know how to fix the speedometer on my 2002 nissan altima I was told the sensor may be out

Does the odometer work? Does it not work at all speeds?

QUESTION: No the speedometer doesn't work at all, neither does the odometer not at any speed. doesn't jump nothing...

Hi Lee -

First thing to check is the cable and gear. Find where the speedo cable enters the transmission, and remove the cable housing and the fitting. Inspect the plastic gear for wear or cracks. If all OK, then replace and remove the housing behind the instrument panel. Ensure that the cable cannot be spun by hand.
