well i have my car and it has been down for awhile but I'm trying to get it back up. well it starts but only if i jump it, when i remove the jumper cables it stays running and cranks out but when i try to restart it it won't start. it will kick till the battery dies. what do you think might be the problem.

Check the battery for proper function.  Autozone or Checker will do a free electrical inspection.  They have a device that checks for charge output and drain.  It sounds like the battery is not putting out enough to get the system running.  That could be a bad battery, alternator, or corroded or loose connections.
