Nissan Repair: is another motor needed, 6 cylinders, timing belt

Question
My timing belt was put on incorrectly and in result 4 of my 6 cylinders were bent. My question is would it be cheaper for me to get another motor or to get the heads fixed?

Answer
Hi Valencia -

I would say get it fixed. Buying a new motor is way more, and if the thought was to get a rebuilt or used engine, there is no guarantee that it is in top shape either.

Unless you have extreme engine problems other than the valves, repairing is the best way to go in my opinion.

Hope this helps -
