Nissan Repair: timing chain cover, gasket surfaces, crank pulley

oil has been leaking 1 qt. every 2 weeks for about 5 yrs. I believe it is the gasket and the seal in the cover. Is it possible to change this without removing the motor? And if so, can you send step by step instructions?

It does not matter the year or the model and you need to just purchase the front seal and gasket sealer and you should be fine. Remove all the assessories and the crank pulley and then the cover and clean the gasket surfaces and reseal the surface and replace the seal and you should be fine.  Check it out and email me back.  A chilton manual or a factory service manual should suffice.  Go to your local library to get the pictures and procedures and you should be fine.
