Nissan Repair: 2005 nissan sentra/overheating, 2005 nissan sentra, radiator hoses

Question
You receive a problem from a guy named Jack on 11/23/2008. That is the exact problem we are having with my car. 2005 nissan sentra overheating, replaced water pump, replaced thermostat, cooling fans are cycling from slow to high speed, I am sure their are no air pockets, water seems to be flowing thru radiator freely, both radiator hoses in good condition. Inside heater does not heat at idle but does heat above 2500 RPMs. Appears as if water is not pumping. Appreciate any information concerning my problem.

Answer
Hi Gina -

You say water seems to be flowing through radiator freely, and then say appears as if water is not pumping. Please define? Is this just by looking into the radiator, engine hot or cold?

Is the car overheating just using it normally in stop and go traffic, or more when on the freeway? Or, up a steady incline?

When was the last time you had your system flushed?

When it is overheated, do you mean the temp gauge is all the way up, or does the radiator boil over?

Sorry for all these questions but please understand it is difficult to diagnose a problem without physically being there -

Please get back to me so we can go on with the diagnosis -

thanks
