Nissan Repair: temp control knob on an 02 nissan altima, nissan altima, aftermarket stereo

the temp control knob does not seem to be working. we only get cool air from the fan. is there a fix that i can do

The control knob actuates a computer that moves the blend doors.  The cable could have become disconnected.  The computer could be bad or the actuator is not working.  The first step would be to remove the glovebox and get under the dash and actuate the control to see what is going on with the motor that actuates the blend door.  If you have had an aftermarket stereo installed the cable could have come loose when they did the install.  I have seen that a few times.  Also, check the fuses since the blend doors are electrically controlled.
