Nissan Repair: brakes, nissan terrano 2, brake shoes

Question
Hi hope you can help me i have a nissan terrano 2.7tdi year 2000 ihave low brake pressure to n/s rear wheel i have replaced brake shoes & also bled that wheel but still have low pressure the vehicle has been to & failed it,s mot on that wheel Regards Bob

Answer
Hi Bob -

First of all I would bench bleed the master cylinder (remove it from the vehicle place it in a vice and bleed it there). They have bench bleed kits available. After bench bleeding, then place it back on the car and proceed to bleed each wheel, starting from the farthest wheel to the nearest to the master.

Process for each wheel is as follows:

Have someone pump the brakes
Hold the pedal to the floor
Open the bleed screw until all fluid comes out
Close the valve
Pump the brakes once again
Repeat this until you have a brake pressure, going through each wheel as described.

Hope this helps -
