Nissan Repair: 93 nissan quest, vacuum lines, nissan quest

Question
I have a 93 Nissan quest that idles okay and revs up to 2400 rpms fine but wont rev past that. It starts popping and missing if you give it more gas. I have already changed the fuel filter, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor button, air filter and checked the vacuum lines. About two weeks ago we had a problem with not firing and i found out my motor mounts were shot causing the engine to jump and damage the distributor cap and rotor button. Don't know if that has anything to do with anything, just thought I would mention it. Any help or advice would be great.

Answer
Hi Rob -

I would take the distributor cap off and inspect it for loose pieces or misaligned pick ups. If the cap was damaged when the motor mount was broken, then perhaps some debris got into the distributor.

Other than that, you did everything I would do, so I would definitely look at the distributor.

Hope this helps -
