Nissan Repair: 99 Nissan Altima shuts off, nissan altima, safe spot

Question
The car died on me a couple of nights ago (using lights as well as radio).Got it jump started and as soon as I turned lights on it died. Jumped it three times after that only being able to move the car a few feet each time without lights so it was in a safe spot. Bought a brand new battery the next morning an replaced. Seemed to run fine for 3 days of driving, only daytime driving with only about 8 miles total each day. Last night my hubby drove it at night about 5 miles and it died on him. Each time it has died...the lights dim and the air bag light flashes only moments before it shuts off.  It would not restart last night, however it started up this morning. Your thoughts? Thanks!

Answer
Karen,

Get the battery fully charged.  Autozone will do this for free.  Then, take it to Autozone and get the electrical system checked for free and see if the alternator is defective.  Also, it could be the master fuse or fuse link to the alternator circuit at the positive battery terminal.
