Nissan Repair: 03 nissan altima, mass airflow sensor, nissan altima

Question
Hi, my altima has 52000 miles with a manual trans and I had it for 5 years...recently it started acting up...I would be driving and suddenly it starts to lose power and it like it was going to turn off. Engine check light never turned on. I checked the plugs still good, airfilter still good. I did the recall for the ecu at the dealer 2 years ago. Please help...I dont have the money to go the dealer or shop...please help

Answer
Jay,

There is hope that pending codes, ones that do not turn the check engine light on, could be stored in memory.  Go to Autozone or Checker and have the codes read for free.  Email me back with what you find.  Other issues on your car could be the mass airflow sensor or the injectors.  But, let's do the codes first.  The parts I mention are quite expensive.
