Nissan Repair: 1987 Nissan sev6 truck, cheap sources, light indicator

I recently bought a 1987 Nissan sev6 4x4 kingcab pickup. When I turn the bright lights on, the headlights turn off and the bright light indicator on the dash does not come on. No problem with the dims, just when I hit the brights. I see no fuses bad, can you give me any help please. Thank-you

If the bulbs are good then the headlight switch is the usual part to replace.  Just takes a screwdriver and the steering wheel does not have to come off to change it...  Takes about 30 minutes for the repair.  courtesynissan.com or rockauto.com are good and cheap sources.  Otherwise your local parts store...  Under $100 bucks...
