Nissan Repair: Nissan Quest, nissan quest, fuel light

Question
I had a 1997 Nissan Quest that I sold about one ear ago to a friend.  At the time of the sale, the van run perfectly and I had really never had any problems with it the entire time I owned it.  The van has started stalling, unable to start, after operating it for an hour or so.  The stalling only seems to occurr, become noticeable, at low speeds.  The stalling seems to come on a little quicker when the A/C has been on.  When it stalls, it will re-start an about 30 minutes or so following the stall.  Thought I might tell you that the new owner has consistantly ran the van lower on fuel(fuel light on) than I had.  I even changed the fuel filter on it a few months ago on it, which did actually seem to help.  Tryed another new one recently but it didn't seem to help.  Not sure if the issue is actually the fuel system but I thought I would let you know.  Thank you in advance for your help.

Answer
Hi Carey -

Looks like a faulty ignition module. This is located in the distributor. There is a heat sync on the bottom of this device, and when the engine gets hot, transfers to the module and it fails, killing the car. Of course when the A/C is on, it heats up faster.

Replace this, and you should be fine -
