Nissan Repair: Trouble removing 2003 Nissan Sentra rotors, nissan sentra, wheel hub

Question
Von,
I have removed the wheels and calipers of front end.  I'm trying to remove the rotors for turning, but they won't come off.  I've beat them, pulled, pushed and everything else.  They won't budge.  Also the brake pads are wearing funny, more on the inside pads than on the outside and the wear is uneven.  If you feel on the inside of the rotor, it is far from smoooth.  What caused this, and why can't I get the rotors off?
Thanks

Answer
Jessica,

You will need to get a puller for the rotors.  On most nissans there are two small bolt holes where you basically get a bolt, run it into the hole and then tighten until it forces the rotor off the wheel hub.  Use lots of Liquid Wrench or the like to aid in the process.  If you beat on the rotor you might damage the bearings and end up having to replace them.  So, use the bolt method or a puller you can rent from the parts store.  The rough feeling inner surface is probably the caliper sticking or the inner pad being worn thin and causing a juddering and uneven wear on the rotor.
