Nissan Repair: nissan maxima 94 stopped while on driving, nissan maxima, valve job

I was going about 80 mph when my Nissan max 94 check engine light went off, after that the car just stopped. It cranks but has a funny noise. Battery is fully charge. But will not start....checked the starter and all the teeth are there...please help....thmx

Hi Jay -

Did your timing belt break? Remove the distributor cap and crank the engine. If the rotor is not spinning, then the belt needs replacement. Hopefully you do not have the engine that interferes with the valves, otherwise you will need a valve job too.
