Nissan Repair: problem fitting half shaft, cv boots, nissan pulsar

hi, 1991 nissan pulsar N14 1500cc auto Remove left and right half shafts to replace inner cv boots now having trouble getting right hand half shaft to go back into transmission. left hand no problem at all, just popped in. tried new circlip-grease and a bit off sweat. still no luck. do i need a special tool ? ? ? any help or advise would be appreciated thank you mark..

No special tools required as it should go in like the other side.  I would check it against the old one and see if they are different.  If all is fine try removing the shaft and rotating 90 degrees and reinstall and push in really hard.  Do this again if it does not work the first or second time.  The drivers side is usually more difficult to get it to click into place.
