Nissan Repair: nissan altima, nissan altima, amp input

Question
need a part or method to enable seat belt warning chime to beap louder (now very soft) and beap more times (now only does it 3 or 4 times) for nissan altima 2008. is there a part or product I can buy. nissan does not have a factory solution I believe. Basically, the warning chime system does no good as it now operates.

Answer
Steve,

The light is required under law and the audible device only has to operate for a few seconds.  Yours is under the dash and is controlled by the body control module.  There is no factory solution to make it louder since it meets federal standards.  If you like, track down the little plastic box under the dash and install a speaker that will allow you to make it louder.  You could even tie it into the pre-amp input on the back of the stereo as Cadillac and others do to pump the noise through the stereo system.  But, there is no factory solution.  A good stereo shop might help you for a couple of hundred bucks with what they have around their shop.
