Nissan Repair: Quartz clock 280 zx, quartz clock, 280 zx

Question
I have a 1983 280zx turbo. there are several problems with it, but nothing more than just a good tune up wouldn't fix. however the quartz clock in the instrument cluster doesn't seem to work. the rest of the gauges work ( oil, boost) I have checked the fuses on the passenger side and they seem to be fine. what could be wrong?

Answer
Luke,

While it is uncommon the clock could be defective and need to be replaced.  I would remove the clock and check for voltage for the clock to run and switched voltage to illuminate the clock along with a common ground.  If all of these are good the clock needs to be replaced.  Sourcing one for your car is not impossible and it just takes time on ebay or google.  If you have the money special shops cater to rebuilding such devices.
