Nissan Repair: Trunk release, nissan stanza, 92 nissan stanza

Sorry if I'm asking in the wrong place, but I just can't seem to find an answer
to my problem.

I have a '92 Nissan Stanza with a broken trunk release and I cannot find any
information on how to fix it, even in the Chilton repair manual. Can you give
me any suggestions?

If you are talking about the lever in the car that pulls the cable that unlatches the trunk there is very little information.  I would verify that the valet slide is not in the wrong position first.  But, if the lever or cable is broken go to your local wrecking yard and source the parts.  It is a pain since you end up removing the driver's seat, trim, back seat and trunk trim to get access to the cable for replacement.
