Nissan Repair: 1990 Nissan Maxima, fuel pressure regulator, nissan maxima

Question
QUESTION: My maxima was running funny so I took it to the dealership and the told me my #3 and #6 fuel injector was bad. So I replaced all six. Two of the injectors was dumping too much gas and I figured the injector was bad, got another one and it did the same thing. Meanwhile, one of my pistons hydro locked and blew the head gasket and I had to get that fixed because I know had gas and antifreeze in the exhaust. So I got the heads fixed and I am still dumping gas in the cylinder. I bought a fuel pressure regulator and still the same problem. Bought a new computer are the car wont even turn over. Before the injectors started messing up the alarm would go off for no reason, and still does it as soon as I hook the battery up on the car to begin trouble shooting. There is no fire going to the starter. Do the alarm have something to do with starting the car. Please help, I really need to get this running again because I have dumped too much money in to it to give up. Thanks in advance.

ANSWER: The most likely reason it is dumping too much fuel is you most likely damaged the injector o-rings when installing the fuel injectors. I have seen a few stick open but it is on rare occasion. If you tightened down the injectors with the cap instead of lubing and seating them first the o-rings are probably torn and need to be replaced. Nissan recommends that you lube the o-rings with engine oil and snap into place (it will take some force to seat them just don't push on the metal tab). Do not use aftermarket parts make sure to Nissan injectors and o-rings.

QUESTION: I lubed the O rings. Do you know how to disable or reset the alarm?

Answer
As I said above if you used the caps to seat the injectors it will cock the injectors and cut the lower O-ring also make sure the old O-ring was not left in the rail. You should be able to disable the alarm by locking then unlocking the driver door using the key. This will only work if it is a factory anti-theft.
