Nissan Repair: 1994 Nissan Quest, nissan quest, nissan dealer

The red brake light and red battery light came on and my mechanic said I needed a new alternator. He replaced the alternator. The same two red lights still come on. Yesterday when I signaled with left indicator they pulsed with light. I turned off the air conditioner and the lights went off... only to come back on. Tomorrow I will take it in and they are rechecking the alternator job. I think its the computer, or at least, a short... but I'm not a mechanic.  I'm not real happy that I paid $1400 and had all these things replaced  and the problem still exists.  There isn't a Nissan dealer in the town where I live. Please advice. Thanks.

It is the alternator and possibly the one they replaced yours with was defective.  I would not worry about it as they should perform a system check and see if the alternator puts out the proper voltage/amperage and make sure they check the master fuse to the alternator at the positive battery terminal as the old alternator could have blown this and that could be causing the current problem.
