Nissan Repair: terrano, nissan terrano, timing chain

Hi I have a 96 nissan terrano r3m just wondering if it has a timing chain or cam belt, cheers chris

I am going to make an assumption here and say it is a timing chain.  I do not know since I have not worked on one.  We do not have the Terrano here.  Email me back and let me know if the timing cover is plastic or metal.  If it is plastic you have a belt.
