Nissan Repair: Automatic transmission overdrive, throttle position sensor, petrol engine

Question
Hi
Could you please help, we have a 96 nissan Turrano same as Pathfinder with the 3.3 lt petrol engine. The automatic transmission once in overdrive shifts back and forward between overdrive and 3rd continually, seems to only do at speeds above 70 kmph but does it whether cold or hot. Have taken it to a gearbox shop and they could not find any thing wrong no engine fault is coming up.
Thanks

Answer
Try adjusting or replacing the Throttle Position Sensor. Seems that yours might be shorted. It's on the throttle body and tells the computer where your foot is on the gas pedal. Seems like a short keeps telling the computer your calling for passing gear.
