Nissan Repair: Nissan Sentra P0340 Code, nissan sentra, nissan models

Question
I recently got check engine lights on. I scanned for the code and it comes out as P0340. The car seems to me running fine. Do I need to do any thing also can I switch off this check engine light if there is no problem.

Answer
Sharib,

If the engine is setting a code that the cam position sensor is defective I would replace it before the car leaves you walking.  There was a recall on several Nissan models for this problem and it would make the car stall at a most inopportune time...  You can disconnect the battery to clear the code.  But, if it comes back I would replace it.  I could only imagine getting in front of a big truck and having the car die out...
