Nissan Repair: 1995 Maxima wont start when cold, nissan maxima, leaky injector

Hi Von, Your post of 9/15/2005 1995 Nissan Maxima GLE hard starting..
You mentioned that there is a temperature sensor  on the 1995 Maxima that sends info to the computer, you said not the one that sends info to the dash that can cause a hard start if defective and the engine is cold, can you help me with the right name for it and its location,sounds like it could fix my problem.

The temperature sensor is located on the engine by the outlet to the radiator.  Now, from what you describe you should check the plugs first to see if you have a leaky injector and that could be the cause of the no start condition when cold.  Pull the plugs and if you find one or more that are especially black you have found plugs that are running rich.  What is probably happening is that the injectors leak down on those cylinders when the engine gets cold and then it makes them hard to start.
