Nissan Repair: Nissan Sentra 99 Battery Fuse, nissan sentra, fuel injectors

Question
I have a 99 Sentra that blew the battery fuse.  After replacing it the car worked for a few miles and sudennly died.  I have been unable to start it since.  There is no computer code, the starter is working and the fuel pump too.  The instrument panel works also.  Replaced the ignition and it did not solve the issue.  Could it be related to the fuel injectors?

Answer
Rodolfo,

Whatever blew the main battery fuse, probably the alternator, is causing other problems.  You need to check all the fuses to see what has blown.  And, if all is well, check the alternator out to see if it is putting too much voltage out.  14.2 volts should be max and if it is more it can blow things in the car.  Also, have the battery checked to see if in has an internal short as this could blow the fuse too.  Remember that fuses protect parts and if the fuse blew it blew for a reason.  I do not think the injectors could cause the problem.
