Nissan Repair: Climate Control causes rough running, compressor belt, climate control

Question
This is similar to a previous question...my '97 maxima automatic starts skipping when I put on the climate control. What's the possible connection here? It has 122k on it. No engine service light has come on.

When the climate control is on the airconditioner compressor is on and it is probably starting to lock up.  Get the car warm and turn the climate control on and then open the hood and look at what the compressor belt is doing.  If the compressor is starting to lock up the belt will grab and release.  Check it out and email me back.
