Nissan Repair: Electrical, nissan pathfinder, micro switch

I have a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder SE with 140k.  This is question number 2.  My radio will stay "on" even when the truck is turned off.  From what I can gather, when there is no CD in the player then the radio will just continue and continue to look for the CD.  My battery dies as a result.  Happens unless I place a CD in then power off the radio.  Falty batter?  Wiring with the radio?

The CD player is defective and if you are willing to live with it you could continue to use the CD to keep it from looking.  My bet is a micro switch is defective.  If not then replace the unit or have yours gone through to get the micro switch in adjustment or replaced.  I would go with an aftermarket head unit.
