Nissan Repair: 2002 nissan maxima camshaft sensor, camshaft sensor, nissan maxima

The check engine light came on after vehicle stalled....had it checked at autozone and they informed me that ir was the camshaht sensor. Is this hard to find and replace?

It is easy and it is located on the timing cover.  Open the hood and look on the passenger side of the engine and that is the timing cover.  A ten millimeter wrench to get the bolt out and unplug and replace.  Basically, it is a hall effect sensor.  You know when you move magnets close together how they effect each other?  That is what the computer uses as a magnetic switch to know the location of the valve events coming off the cam.
