Nissan Repair: Torque, rear wheel bearings, torque wrenches

Question
What is the torque for the rear wheel bearings on a 1997 Nissan Maxima

Answer
The torque indicated is 138 to 188 ft pounds of torque.  I would go with the something like 150 ft pounds of torque as that is what most torque wrenches are limited to.  That is, unless you have one that goes to 250 ft pounds.  Now remember that we are talking Japanese here and if you go to the upper limit on something this old you might strip it out.  So, if it were me I would be at the lower to middle number of around 150 ft pounds.
