Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 98 Olds Bravada fuel pump troubles, olds bravada, gas tank

we've been having some major trouble with our fuel pump, and we would like to know what the steps to fix it ourselves would be. it's located outside the gas tank so we were hoping we could fix it ourselves. is this even possible? if you can give us any advice on this, or any links to other sites that could help, that would be awesome.

HI AUTHUR AND MARGARET,WELL THE FUEL PUMP ON ALL BRAVADA,S AND BLAZERS IS ON THE INSIDE OF THE GAS TANK.NOT THE OUTSIDE.BUT IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE IT IS POSSIBLE.REMOVE THE GAS TANK AND DISCONNECT THE FUEL LINES AND ELEC CONNECTION.REMOVE LOCKRING AND PULL FUEL PUMP ASSY OUT.REPLACE WITH NEW ASSY.BE CAREFUL OF FUEL IN TANK GET VEHICLE HIGH ENOUGH TO REMOVE TANK.AND A GOOD JACK I LIKE TO STRAP TANK TO JACK TO PREVENT FALLING.SOUNDS HARDER THEN IT IS .GOOD LUCK BILLYMAC.IF YOU HAVE PROBS WRITE BACK PLEASE VOTE FOR ME
