I own a 1990 olsmobile,6 cyl.,3.3 L,throttle body,no fuel injection.Lately When I first start it in the morning ,after it sits overnight,it "misses" and does not run smoothly til it warms up.Then it's fine til the next day.It has 210,000 miles on it but it has been agood car.Can you tell me what's causing this and what should I do?Many thanks.

Answer
Hi Betty,
If it has something that says throttle body, it is fuel injected...called throttle body injection.
Just for experimenting, you could turn the key to run...not start it, but just turn to run for three seconds. Then off, then run again, then crank it. If the fuel is leaking back out of the lines, that could charge it up with pressure, which is needed for injectors like that to work.
Running a bottle or two of injector cleaner through the gas tank is what I would try first.
