The car will not start when it is above 70deg. and humid outside. I have changed the battery, and the ignition switch and this has not fixed the problem. Do you have any suggstions as to what to check next ?  Thanks for any advice, no one has been able to find the problem including the Olds dealer. This car has inbedded antitheft divice in the ignition key.

Hello Ronald,
I don't know the answer, but with a systematic approach, we may be able to find it.
First, you need to find out if spark is getting to the plugs, or if lack of fuel might be the problem, or if sensor readings from the intake air stream are somehow causing the ecm to operate radically.
I would start with spark.
Van I am sorry, I did not state my problem correctly, when this happens the engine will not turn over, nothing works, no power windows, no power locks and no dash lights. it acts like the battery is dead.

Answer
I assume you looked at the contact area of the battery connectors, and made sure they are making good contact.
On trucks, there is a connector through the firewall, where all the wires pass through. I have seen poor connection problems there.
But never a 70 degree weather related open.
Some wiggling, pushing, and tapping of connections may help find a connection problem.
Also, make sure both ends of each battery cable are clean and tight.
