Pontiac Repair: Transmission fluid level

How do I know the fluid level on my transmission. I can't find a transmission fluid dip stick anywhere

Hi jeff you didn't say what kind of car you have so I'll guess you have either a g6 or a g5 that 4 speed transmission and you right it doesn't have a dip stick. there is a sight plug on the side of the transmission just below where the right axle comes of the transmission. it has a 7/16" head on the plug. get the take the car for a short ride to get it up to tempature. then park it on a level surface and pull the plug out the fluid should just start to dribble out of the sight plug. if it's low there is a big plastic plug on the top of the transmission on the drivers side add fresh fluid there. till it dribbles out.
